HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! ALUMNI BAR NIGHT About the last Bar NightThe first Alumni Bar Night of the year 2008, which took place on Wednesday 23 January in Brussels, has been a great success with more than seventy participants!
Once again, Alumni had the pleasure to meet with fellow Alumni in a very relaxing and warmful atmosphere.
Lunch event on "Bilingual Management" - 6 February 2008On 6 February, Mrs Avivah Wittenberg-Cox was invited to speak about “ ‘Bilingual Management’ or 21st century differences between men and women at work”. 20 Alumni joined, almost all from different promotions.
The alumni reacted positively to this small scale event as they felt it to be a good way to meet different people within the College of Europe network and address an interesting topic at the same time. L’Association des Anciens a le regret de vous annoncer le décès du Dr. Marc Vuijlsteke (1947-2009), Directeur général du Service de développement au Collège d’Europe.
Beaucoup d’Anciens doivent énormément à cet européen convaincu qui était au service du Collège pendant des nombreuses années. C’est avec le cœur lourd que nous nous associerons à son dernier adieu, vendredi 17 juillet à 12h, au Westlede crematorium à Gand.
Marc, tu nous manqueras, mais nous n'oublierons jamais ton énergie et ton courage face aux tourmentes de la vie ni ce que tu as fait pour chacun d'entre nous. Au revoir! Seminar in CanadaOn Friday, December 4, 2009 the European Commission Delegation in Canada will hold a one-day Seminar at the Sheraton Hotel in Ottawa for all College of Europe alumni living in Canada. This will provide an opportunity for networking and to bring you up to date on the EU - as well as Canada-EU relations. The seminar will include an update on the latest developments in the European Union as well as on EU-Canada relations; a meeting with the Ambassador and Head of Delegation; as well as a representative of the Swedish Embassy, as Sweden presently holds the Presidency of the EU.
